Rubber Moulding Course

‘I have come away feeling so much more confident with the process. All doubts & fears that I came with dismissed. I am hugely grateful. I can't wait to try another mould to reinforce my newly gained knowledge. I feel very much inspired to carry on with my sculpting, you were all most supportive’.

Carolyn Birchall, artist & BA student (Whitstable)

‘THANK YOU for a fantastic few days! For a really professional, concise, friendly & enjoyable course’

Kerry Ingham, Artist (Tunbridge Wells)

Our 2012 Rubber Moulding Courses are now fully booked until the end of the year. If you would like to undertake personal tuition, please do not hesitate to contact us.

STANDARD Multiples & Replication: How to create a rubber mould

ADVANCED Multiples & Replication : How to create a rubber mould (designed for individuals who have attended courses previously & require a refresher, or have existing knowledge that they wish to build on)

What the courses cover
Both sessions offer you the opportunity to create a successful rubber mould from an original art object, whether that is originally modelled in clay, plaster or constructed from found materials.

You will learn
- how to identify the most suitable rubber for your mould
- how to assess an object to determine ‘undercuts’ or problematic areas to overcome
- how to determine the number of mould pieces required
- how artists have used multiples & rubber moulding through their practice

Progression possible on to the bronze casting courses.
