Mosaic Work

From cruise liners to private spaces, our mosaic work has gained a reputation for being bold, colourful, ambitious in size, three-dimensional & exquisitely executed.

Design
We first discuss your ideas, create a small portfolio response & determine your colour palette.

Fabrication
We then model your sculpture in clay & then cast it in resin, onto which we will mosaic. Within this resin sculpture, a robust armature with fixings will be designed for permanent installation either inside or outside.

Mosaic Work
Unlike many mosaics, the grout lines between the tiles are given just as much consideration as the tiles, colour palette & bronze elements. The three-dimensional form does dictate the size of tile applied so we therefore start by drawing the linear design onto the sculpture before mosaic application. This creates thousands of different shapes for which each tile is hand cut, nibbled to shape, then ground, removing all sharp edges.

We choose the appropriate materials for wherever the mosaic art work is to be installed. Previous works have had to withstand a specific wind speed, constant industrial cleaning & years of interaction with the cruising public!
